I am Wagner, a software engineer based in Spain 😄. Ever since I was a child I dreamt about writing code so that other people could use it. Little did I know about the Open Source initiative!
After many years of working on Python projects, I always struggled to integrate OAuth authentication simply. There are many resources out there but usually, they are either not easy to configure into our applications or are non-maintained projects.
So after reading most of Django Rest Framework documentation I found a framework that promised simplicity. However, it was not maintained anymore 😮. So I decided to take the project upon my own responsibility.
After a few months of work, I made a few improvements. The project actually became the 10% most used software in the Python Package Index, which you can see for yourself: https://package.wiki/drf-social-oauth2.
