I strongly believe that free, open-source software contributes to the bottom line of technology far more than anything else.

Free, open-source software saves people hundreds of hours, gives them legal flexibility, and lays the foundation for many projects that could change the world! It is a community-led effort, done by the community, for the community.

Software has been monopolized since day one, and in a world motivated by pure capitalism, it's hard to find anyone who works for the sole purpose of moving the tech forward.

As such, any help in funding free, open-source software goes directly into advancing the technology in our hands. It doesn't have to be much. Small contributions compound over the years!
