Skye - your cute microcontroller

Are you looking for a flashy microcontroller as a keychain, but don't want to hang an Arduino? Or are you in need of a tiny microcontroller to put in your next project? Or, want to show off your coding skills but don't want to buy an RGB LED and resistors? Need somthing portable for your next VUSB hack?

top bottom

Skye is the tiny microcontroller for the casual. With a small form factor, a WS2812B LED and a low price, Skye is the cutest microcontroller you'll ever own.

Features:

  • WS2812B
  • It's a keychain!
  • Minimalistic top surface
  • Breadboard-friendly headers
  • Smaller than many USB sticks
  • But it's a keychain!

Specifications:

  • ATtiny85
  • Sized at 12.7mm by 24.4mm
  • 6 IO pins
  • 5V and GND pins (if you want to power it with an external power source, you can connect it with the included 5V regulator)
  • Runs the micronucleus bootloader!

Hardware designs are released CC-BY-SA, credits to Digispark for the circuit design. Arduino IDE board definitions and example code are available under GPLv3, readable in software/LICENSE.
