This commit was perhaps too hasty. DTrace works with Ruby on the latest FreeBSD, but DTrace is disabled unnecessarily because of this commit. (If something doesn't work on a certain OS then perhaps a better approach is to allow that OS to work around the issue.) This commit should be reverted. The necessary followup work (as suggested in #4005) does not seem to have been done, leaving DTrace support broken for multiple major releases of Ruby and FreeBSD. |

Disable it until the cause is known for the next version 3.0.0 release.
