For enabling development releases (of specific very new features we want to share but not promise this interface to be the same on the main release) to conda-forge, our versions need to include a dev keyword in them see this dev release. Now we run in trouble since this is currently breaking our version to be parsed correctly. Is there a way to exclude the suffix .dev[0-9]* from the version on parsing?
