Documentation

I am working toward a pull request to include the https://github.com/felix-hilden/sphinx-codeautolink Sphinx extension into the documentation build process. This extension parses Python code examples.

During that work, I noticed some code examples that have plain syntax errors, as well as some that can be made parseable with minimal effort.

A pull request to fix these problems is upcoming.
