Alternative to #600. I personally prefer not having this behaviour enabled at all and figured this could be good to have.
Ideally the hotkey binding would be removed/added whenever the checkbox is toggled rather than checking on event whether the preference is enabled, but I didn't quite get around to digging that far just yet.
