Hey everyone,

I'm starting this thread to create a collection of the most interesting, useful, or just plain fun repositories on GitHub. We all stumble upon projects that make us go "Wow, that's cool!"—let's share those gems here.

When you post, please try to include:

  • A link to the repository.
  • A short description of what it is and why you love it.

To kick things off, here are a few of my favorites:

  • tldraw/tldraw: A fantastic and ridiculously fast open-source whiteboard. It's amazing how much functionality is packed into this collaborative tool. Perfect for quick diagrams.

  • junegunn/fzf: A blazing fast command-line fuzzy finder. If you spend any time in the terminal, this will genuinely change your workflow for the better.

  • codecrafters-io/build-your-own-x: An incredible educational resource. It's a collection of tutorials for recreating popular technologies from scratch, like building your own Git, Docker, or database.

What cool repositories have you found? Share them below! 👇

  • xcontcom/evolving-cellular-automata: Using genetic algorithms to find cool cellular automata. I like this because you never know what automaton the genetic algorithm will find, and it always surprises you.
