This repository contains logos for Open Problems. Each logo format is provided in different sizes and file formats for different use cases.
- The "Banner" format is considered the default logo and should be used where possible
- The "Rectangle" and "Square" formats can be used as alternatives when the "Banner" is not a good fit
- The "Icon" format is designed primarily for the website and should not be used without the presence of another format
- The "Sticker" format is designed for printing stickers and should not be used in other contexts. Use the "Rectangle" format instead which is the same design with more appropriate spacing.
- Where possible, use full color versions, either the default versions for light backgrounds or the white versions for dark backgrounds. The all black and all white versions are only to be used in special cases where the other versions are not suitable.

The logos can be updated by editing the main design file in Inkscape, saving it and then running the export script:
./export-logos.shThis will regenerate all logo files in their respective folders.
Edits should only be made by the Open Problems core team but requests are welcome by opening an issue.
NOTE: The export script assumes an ordering of pages in the Inkscape file. If this is changed the mapping in the script should be updated.
The logos are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) License.
If you use the logos you should attribute them to Open Problems and link to the Open Problems website where possible.
