npm install flagged a vuln. More info at https://npmjs.com/advisories/1548

Regarding the failing tests on Mac. My main platform is Linux but I also have Mac. Just ran the full CI test but could not reproduce the error. Happy to help debug if I can figure out how to reproduce.

I don't think the tests for mac have been working for a while. Thanks for contributing!
