Many university students possess valuable, up-to-date technical skills but struggle to find platforms willing to trust them with entry-level freelance work. Conversely, small businesses and startups frequently require digital services but lack the budget to hire expensive agencies.

SkillBridge solves this by:

1. Providing a curated marketplace for students to showcase their portfolios.
2. Giving clients an affordable talent pool.
3. Operating on a highly affordable 10% dual-commission model (5% from the client, 5% from the student), ensuring the platform remains sustainable while maximizing payouts for students.

• Dual User Personas: Distinct dashboards and workflows for 'Student Freelancers' and 'Clients'.
• Service Categories: Organized gig listings for Web Development, Graphic Design, Video Editing, UI/UX, and more.
• Secure Authentication: Passwords are encrypted and hashed securely using bcrypt.
• Custom Commission Logic: Server-side mathematical processing to securely handle the 10% split fee logic.
• Premium Features: Access to paid career development guides ("Guides That Actually Get You Hired").

This project was built entirely from scratch without the use of heavy CSS frameworks to ensure absolute control over the design and architecture.
