Type: Bug
When opening a remote session with VS Code that does not have the same environment as the previous local session, I get the error
Some more output from the console below. Usually, the extension would show an interpreter picker at the bottom bar, but it seems to simply crash.
The workaround for me is to install an older (>6month) version of the python extension, select a python interpreter that's available on the remote server, and then update again to the current python extension version.
