👍 despite the name this is not a license file, but a file to generate an older version of the license file with updated years and version numbers. |

This is a minor change. I saw that license.py in the root folder isn't used anymore. The newer Matplotlib license is maintained in the
LICENSEdirectory and independent of this file.
