Bug report
When using the webagg backend on 2.1.0, importing pyplot fails with a NameError.
Code for reproduction
import matplotlib
matplotlib.use('WebAgg')
from matplotlib import pyplot
Actual outcome
I get a name error. traceback excerpt:
