It would be nice instead of using username/password if the plugin could use application credentials to do v3 auth.

I am assuming this would require a new secrets type to be defined and the option for the plugin to detect which secrets being passed so it could switch the auth it is using.

If there is a way to already do this please let me know and close this ticket.
