Overview

The accordion component allows the user to show and hide sections of related content on a page. An accordion is a lightweight container that may either be used standalone, or be connected to a larger surface, such as a card.

Background

This project is heavily reliant on the Atomic Design process. As explained by the HfLA Design System Guide for Designers, it is the simplest way to go through all the possible steps that are required for this component part.

Action Items

Accordions can include the following (but feel free to add more as you research):

• Basic accordion (when the accordion drops down, it stays down until you pull it up)
• Controlled accordion (when you open a new accordion, the old accordion will close automatically)
