• Future funding

Currently, we plan on applying in the next CZI EOSS cycle to fund the project.

• Adding new contributors

As the API becomes more stable, we aim to increase our user base and spread awareness for the project. As a byproduct of this, we hope to attract people interested in adding new features. For example, neither Kushal nor I conduct research that pertains to 3D volumetric data and we would love to have someone with a better handle on that domain help us add volumetric graphics to the library.

• Better defining the scope of the project

We will plan on having a clearer outline of the potential use cases for fastplotlib included in our FAQ (#559). We will also provide a better outline of things we would work on, PRs that we would accept, and things we do not plan on supporting.
