Python 3 only
From version 3 onwards, python-edgar is supporting python3 exclusively.
Other changes:
- Re-download only current quarter file.
Version 2: HTTPS support, faster downloads
python-edgar now works with EDGAR's HTTPS endpoint instead of using FTP. The API has been simplified, downloads are now faster thanks to multiprocessing.
