Welcome to the Curious Beams Lab — where we use electron beams and advanced algorithms to explore the structure and function of materials at the nanoscale.
We’re part of the Imaging Physics Department at TU Delft, and our research lies at the intersection of physics, computation, and materials science. Our goal is to make high-resolution electron microscopy robust and accessible — combining modeling, simulation, and instrumentation to reveal how materials behave, atom by atom.
This GitHub organization is home to our open science efforts:
- 🧠 Open tutorials & presentations – Hands-on introductions to electron imaging, diffraction, and phase retrieval.
- 💻 Open-source codes – Simulation and reconstruction tools for electron scattering and diffractive imaging.
- 📄 Open-access manuscripts & data – Reproducible analysis code and figures accompanying our publications.
- 🌐 Website content – The source for our lab website.
We’re always curious about new ideas, collaborations, and contributions.
If you’re interested in working with us, using our tools, or building upon our methods:
