Do you have plans to join hacktoberfest (maybe even this year)? Takes 2mins to set up but boosts contributions.

The Coolify team currently is not planning to participate in Hacktoberfest at this very moment. Andras didn't make good experience with it when he first opened a repository for Hacktoberfest.

Can you maybe reconsider this? My recommendation is to not add the hacktoberfest topic to the repo but rather add the hacktoberfest-accepted to prs. This way the repos doesn't get hit by automated tools, they mostly look for the hacktoberfest topic on the repo.

@gltched-usr so basically a label to put on PRs without the Hacktoberfest topic? I think that's doable to add when a PR seems worthy enough. We can try bringing it up with Andras again, I personally like the idea at least.

@djsisson we are at least suspecting that those were automated spam PRs due to Hacktoberfest, since it's currently running and we usually don't have that problem. But that's just a theory of us, can't say for sure. Though we currently don't have the topic on the repo, so not sure why it would target us.

Hey @gltched-usr — we’ve decided not to participate in Hacktoberfest this year.

Even without adding the hacktoberfest topic or mentioning anything related to Hacktoberfest or hackathons, we still received 12 spammy PRs in the last 14 hours:

We currently have over 100 legitimate PRs pending review — many from contributors who’ve been waiting for months. These low-effort submissions only add to the workload and slow down progress for everyone else.

Hope that makes sense, and we appreciate your understanding.
