Why the "Move View" menu doesn't show on mobile:

  • Touch vs. mouse: the contextmenu event is normally triggered by right-click. On Android, long-press often gets intercepted by the browser's native menu, so the VS Code web UI does not receive it.
  • Because of that, the GUI move action is not always available.

Workaround (Command Palette):

  1. Hamburger menu (top left) -> View -> Command Palette...
  2. Search: View: Move View
  3. Select: Codex
  4. Choose target: Secondary Side Bar

This command-based method does the same move without a mouse.
