I don't think we can. This is the main change we need to implement to move to Maven Central as per documentation.
I moved that to the version we are using for the RIC.

Migrating Events, Log4J, Serialization and Test Libraries to Maven Central
Description of changes:
Moving libraries to Maven Central publishing plugin in all libraries as part of the migration from the legacy publishing method to the new MavenCentralPublishing portal. This includes updating the POM configurations for the following Java libraries:
Updated some plugin references that were causing errors during the github actions build phase.
This PR is following this one.
