So it with sadness that I am announcing to retirement of MB-Lab.

After 6 years of development, off and on, I have decided that MB-Lab has run it's course, we probably expanded this addon to it's maximum potential long ago and my recent efforts have been well received I just don't think with it's current code base that any further improvements can be made. Not without major work or a complete overhaul. What is the point of that?

This is where Charmorph comes in. Recently I have been in touch with developers and as they were once part of MB-Lab it was a good conversation, over the course of the talk it became obvious that MB-Lab had fallen behind and the development of Charmorph was an evolution of that. The development is active, using a team of people as opposed to a solo effort and support is good.

MB-Lab models are in Charmorph, including some of the work that I personally did during that development, which is pretty cool to see. However the performance is much better, MUCH better.

I have decided to release one more update to MB-Lab, mainly the work I did to the Cell Shaders since they were never really updated during the course of MB-Lab's lifetime. After that I am done and I will start to wind down operations, support and development will stop. I am joining the Charmorph team to help in that project as much as I can. I am not sure where I am going to start at this point or what I am going to tackle, I am still working my way around the code and models. I guess we will see what happens.

This is a good thing, maybe not to user of MB-Lab but I implore you to give Charmorph a chance, you will not be disappointed. It is worth switching over.

Thank you all for your support over the years!
