[BUG] Grey screen - Restarted VSCode and after the compaction of the context window is not working #8594
Description
Problem (one or two sentences)
It's happening quite often (at least two or three times per day)
When roocode is executing some commands, I get the roocode window grey and I cannot see anymore what's happening.
I restart VSCode and when trying to continue with the tasks I get the errors as in the screenshot.
I solve creating a new task

Reproduction steps
Seems when roocode needs to compact the context window. I am using VS Code LM API
Expected result
The task should be able to be completed.
Actual result
Grey window, needs vscode restart

VS Code LM API, tested in Sonnet 4, 4.5 and GPT 5 mini. Did not tested with other models.
