This is now the main code repository for PAMGuard.

PAMGuard is software for automatically detecting, classifying, and localising the natural sounds made by whales and dolphins. It is used around the world by researchers within academia, non-governmental organisations (NGO’s) and government research labs to estimate animal populations, study animal behaviour, and to mitigate the impacts of activities which might cause disturbance or harm to vulnerable species.

Code was copied over from the old SVN repository https://sourceforge.net/p/pamguard/svn/HEAD/tree/PamguardJava/ r6251 on 7 January 2022. The main PAMGuard branch on sourceforge should now be considered dormant.

As well as the main PAMGuard code within this repository, there are several plugin modules, code for which has also been migrated to GitHub though not always in the PAMGuard organisation site. For further information, a list of available plugins, and links to source code, go to our main website at www.pamguard.org/pluginmodules.html.
