Apparently, the wine bridge is broken with the build from KXStudio. Everything works as expected if I pin Carla to use the system package. It has already been reported to carla: falkTX/Carla#1821. The version in KX repo should be the same this time around, so I think there is some kind of dependency hell going on with old packages.
