There are two types of namespace tools. At first the browser that allows using a tree structure to navigate to the desired record and at second the search tool, that allows for pattern based search for records.

Using the namespace-search-tool records can be found utilizing search patterns. The namespace-search-tool needs an LDAP-Server which delivers the data of the records.

The namespace browser is available in two variations. One requires the same LDAP-Server as the namespace-search-tool and the other builds directly on the TINE protocol. The handling of both versions is equal. Pro level, a list of all items is displayed, it can be limited by a search pattern. If an item is selected, the corresponding elements in the next few levels are displayed.
