For storing paswords etc i use keepass on several devices. The proxy in between is dropbox. Dropsync is making sure that my android device always contains the latest version.

I would like to setup something simailair so my wife and me can use Catime with one and the same database. So when i add an card my wife also can use the card and vice versa. Would this be possible?

Right now, no. There are several open issues about this, but nobody has picked up the work and I don't have the time to build all of that alone.

For now, the best you can do is create a Catima export once to import on the other device and then use the "share" button on new cards you want to share.

Hi Sylvia,
Clear. If i do a multiple import/export between the phones wil eventually both database being merged? Or is the import a delete -> import action?
If it is a merged at the end will there be no double entries?

Thnx in advance!

Catima has basic duplicate detection and won't add "the same card" twice:

public static boolean isDuplicate(Context context, final LoyaltyCard a, final LoyaltyCard b) {

However, this is not a merge. Any small difference (like changed note or expiry) will cause them to be seen as two different cards.

If you sync both ways without making any changes to the cards it should work fine and not cause duplicates.

For now ok. Hopefully you find time in the future for a real sync solution. Me and my wife will be thankfully. Donation is on it's way 😉
