[edit]- Due to the fact that the word buy (iibso) and sell (iibi) sound very similar, as well as the fact that the second syllable so is additionally a Somali suffix, basic and even intermediate speakers of Somali get the two words mixed up. Therefore, in order to avoid confusion it is probably preferable to avoid using the above term and rather use one of the synonyms.
