The 1933 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team was an American football team that represented the University of Notre Dame as an independent during the 1933 college football season. In their third and final year under head coach Hunk Anderson, the Fighting Irish compiled a 3–5–1, failed to score in six of nine games, and were outscored in all games by a total of 80 to 32.[1] It was Notre Dame's only losing season between 1888 and 1955.
End Hugh Devore received third-team honors from the Associated Press on the 1933 All-America college football team.[2] Devore and Tom Gorman were the team captains.
The team played its home games at Notre Dame Stadium in Notre Dame, Indiana.
