'Scrubs' cast reuniting to film show's revival in Canadian city
One of the most popular TV series of the 2000s is being revived, and stars like Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and Donald Faison will be in Canada to film Scrubs beginning next month.
The Emmy Award-winning medical sitcom will be filming in Metro Vancouver starting on Monday, Oct. 6.
According to Creative BC, the shoot is expected to last over two months, wrapping on Friday, Dec. 19.
ABC, which aired Scrubs‘ final two seasons during its original run from 2001 to 2010, confirmed the revival in July, with stars Braff, Chalke and Faison each posting on Instagram to celebrate the news.

The actors will be reprising their roles as J.D. Dorian (Braff), Eliot Reid (Chalke), and Christopher Duncan Turk (Faison).
“JD and Turk scrub in together for the first time in a long time,” reads the logline for the Scrubs revival. “Medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time.
“Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.”
Scrubs‘ first eight seasons were filmed in a decommissioned hospital in Los Angeles, with the ninth season moving to The Culver Studios in Culver City, CA.
Filming locations for the revival have not yet been confirmed, but the production address for the show is listed as 12211 Horseshoe Way in Richmond, B.C., which is the location of Whites Studios Copperwood.
The show is also set to premiere sometime in the 2025-2026 broadcast season.
