A Los Angeles Halloween tradition continues: Danny Elfman has confirmed a 2025 edition of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas live, taking place at the Hollywood Bowl on October 25th and 26th.
Marking the 12th and 13th time Elfman has performed the Tim Burton classic at the Bowl with a full orchestra, the 2025 edition will feature Elfman as Jack, Janelle Monáe as Sally, Keith David as Oogie Boogie, John Stamos as Lock, and Riki Lindhome as Shock. The group will perform the film’s musical sequences accompanied by a live orchestra, with the film’s visuals being played on screens behind them.
Tickets for The Nightmare Before Christmas are now available via Ticketmaster. Fans can look for deals or get tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub, where orders are 110% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
“I guess it’s safe to say this is becoming a Halloween tradition by now. That makes me so happy,” said Elfman in a statement. “I can’t wait to see all the Halloween freaks, monsters, gods and goddesses to celebrate together!”
Elfman first began the Nightmare Before Christmas celebration at the Hollywood Bowl in 2015. Over the years, he’s performed the show alongside actors and musicians including Catherine O’Hara, Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, Paul Reubens, Weird Al, Ken Page, and many more. In addition to the orchestral performances, the evenings feature costume contests, trick-or-treat stations, and plenty more Halloween-themed celebrations.
