FYI, I nominated one of your pictures as a Featured Picture candidate. The nomination is here. The list of current FP candidates is here. Nice work. Jbarta (talk) 19:59, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the support! I just realized that I could retake that picture since I've got my camera set up at the moment, so it was a good initiative to do so.Evan-Amos (talk) 04:09, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
- UPDATE: Image is now a featured picture. Congratulations. Jbarta (talk) 12:54, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
Super Nintendo / Famicom
[edit]Hi Evan, I was wondering if you had uploaded a jpg version of File:Super-Famicom-Console-Set.png. I just nominated your picture of the SNES for FP at Wikipedia, and I'd like to have the Famicom to compare it to (like a set). Great works, by the way. Crisco 1492 (talk) 00:13, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for the support and interest! I uploaded a jpg version of the file. I usually have both ready when I do it, but sometimes I just haven't uploaded the second file. Evan-Amos (talk) 04:58, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- You're very welcome (I nominated three today; we'll see how they do before I nominate any more). After seeing how the Commodore did a couple weeks ago, I decided to take a look at some of your other pictures; I have a special place in my heart for the SNES, having cut my teeth on it back in the early 90s, so I nominated it right away. Thanks! Crisco 1492 (talk) 09:05, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- Would it be possible to touch up the shadow under the barrel in File:NES-zapper.jpg? It seems to have disappeared. The camera picture has essentially passed, but the video game ones are at a deadlock. Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:47, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the update and letting me know what's going. I'm currently away for the holidays so I don't have access to my computer and files for a few days. I could always retake or re-edit the picture of the Zapper when I get back, but it wouldn't be until Monday.
- Also, I had looked over the pictures that have been put through to featured status via the community. Part of me has held back nominating my own stuff since a lot of the pictures that I see make featured are of animals, scenic vistas, marcos, etc. I've had the feeling that my product photos of video games and candy could been seen as more niche than that, especially to people who didn't play them. If the photos make it through the process then that's great, but it not I don't see it as a big deal. Evan-Amos (talk) 15:56, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- No problem, we could always renominate if necessary; admittedly some users are strongly against product photos, but since File:Nail-clippers-variety.jpg passed in October I've figured that, community wise, there's nothing wrong with them. Enjoy the holidays! As a side note, there's nothing against you voting on them if you want. Crisco 1492 (talk) 13:33, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
- A quick question: Is the black bulge in File:SNES Edit.png from post-processing or ...? A couple of opposes have been based on it. Crisco 1492 (talk) 12:01, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Uh, it could be from shadows? At the time I wasn't using plexiglass to take pictures, so the edges can look sloppy because of the heavy shadows. I could take the picture better now since I could do a more competent job of photoshopping and actually taking the picture. A lot of my older pictures are on a to-do list because they can have problems like this. For the SNES specifically, it's a little bit harder to take a picture of it because the one that I own is heavily oxidized (the same as in the oxidized SNES picture), so it takes a bit more effort than the other console pictures. Evan-Amos (talk) 01:29, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- That's what I suggested at the nomination page. Thanks. Regarding your images... fantastic work, no matter whether its featured or not. Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:44, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- I did some retakes of the SNES and the Zapper. I should be getting those ready in the next few days. Evan-Amos (talk) 03:30, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
Vanamo Logo
[edit]Evan, I just made a vectorized version of your logo. Is that OK with you? Atomicbeachball (talk) 02:29, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hey, that's cool with me. Thanks! I don't really know how to do stuff with vectors or SVG files, so I would never have been able to do that myself. It should come in handy at some point. Evan-Amos (talk) 05:24, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hey Evan, you know that an SVG vector picture has a smaller file size than the same photo in another format? That will be useful if you want to keep your page free of other clutter!
Photo request
[edit]Would there be any possibility you could get your hands on a PlayStation Vita? There's not any good photos around right now, one of yours would be appreciated. Kyores (talk) 11:15, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- The current SVG file is pretty good, so I don't know if I'd be in a rush to replace it. I'm currently on a bit of a hiatus from pictures, and I also don't have a black Vita. If I run across one, I'll be sure to get a picture of it for the gallery and the Vita page. Evan-Amos (talk) 03:50, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
png photos
[edit]Hi Evan, Thank you for your great photographs. I edited and resized a lot of your food and candy photographs with photoshop so that they could become my dock and file folder icons. I was wondering if you'd be interested in sharing them; they're all about 500 max width/height. -Sara
- Hey, thanks for the interest and sorry for the late reply. Using the pictures as dock folders sounds pretty cool. I don't know if I'd be able to upload them to them to any of my galleries as that falls under personal use rather than encyclopedic value. If you have any personal site of your own, you can feel free to distribute them, though! Evan-Amos (talk) 03:48, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
Request
[edit]Hello there. Wow, I've just looked through your video gaming images and you're a top-class photographer. Well done!
I have a request: you made two images of the Xbox 360 Elite: one with a controller, another without. I've just seen that you also have an image of the 360 Arcade (File:Xbox-360-arcade.jpg), however you didn't make a image of it without the controller. Could you please make one?
Another request: could you please make a professional photo like these for the 360 Pro? You haven't got it in your collection and all others on Wikipedia and Commons are not so good. What I'm trying to do is to replace the Elite console (on the left) of the 360 infobox image (File:Xbox-360-Consoles-Infobox.png) with a Pro model, as the current image does not look so well on the Xbox 360 Wikipedia article (the Elite looks too similar to the S on that image, and multiple other reasons). So could you please, make a photo of the Pro model? Thank you and keep up your brilliant photography work! --Gaming&Computing (talk) 15:39, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
- The only 360 console that I currently own is the original arcade version and I've never had the opportunity to take a picture of the Pro. I don't have a picture of just the Arcade in my archives, though, so at some point I'll need to take one. The pictures that I took of the Elite and 360 S were from other peoples collections so it's not something that I have on hand. Ideally, I would need to own five or six xbox 360s just for all of the variants. It's something that is feasible in the future, though. I really want to be able to take all of combination photos at some point so I'd want to try and make it possible. - Evan-Amos (talk) 00:49, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, got it. If you know any friends who have those consoles you may borrow it and take the pic! The thing is, you are BY FAR the best photographer of consoles, or just simply any kind of consumer electronics, so I'd really like to see those 360s from you. --Gaming&Computing (talk) 17:52, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
Xbox 360 E
[edit]If you get a chance, could you put in the Xbox 360 E image? --Archcaster 22:33, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- I'm actually hoping to get an Xbox 360 E at some point (maybe Black Friday?) and when I do, I'll be sure to update it. Evan-Amos (talk) 05:42, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
3DS XL image needed
[edit]Hello, Please, could you take picture of 3DS XL and post it to wikimedia commons?
Thanks --Sponge123|留言 02:06, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
- I do own a 3DS XL, so when I'm able to get my studio set up again I'll be able to get a picture of it. Evan-Amos (talk) 05:42, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
Wikipedia in every language needs the 3DS XL image, so do it quick. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Your photo are wonderful and useful. Hope I can learn how to take these games images.--Sponge123|留言 09:10, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hallo Evan-Amos,
I've just read an article about your incredible work on PetaPiwel. Good job, congratulations and cheers! --Myrabella (talk) 08:38, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
I second the congratulations :) good job, man! --Helios (talk) 13:44, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hey everyone, thanks for this. It blew up like crazy overnight, but it's amazing the support the project is getting right now. This is going to mean so many photos! Evan-Amos (talk) 14:25, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
I just backed your Kickstarter project. Honestly, I don't care all that much about the history of video game consoles, but I wanted to thank you in some small way for the many high-quality images you have contributed (and continue to contribute!) to the public domain. You've nearly doubled your goal! That's awesome. Please keep us in the loop about how you plan to spend the excess. All the best, – Quadell (talk) 14:20, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Congratulation Evan for surpassing your kickstarter goal! I would have donated but didn't know about it in time. Anyway, awesome work, and good luck!
Ross Hill (talk) 00:57, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks Ross and Quadell! And all the money is still going to hardware. There's plenty of systems out there, so I had other areas and systems of gaming set to stretch goals. I'll certainly be able to get a wide variety now! Evan-Amos (talk) 01:40, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- I'm curious if you need some more used Nintendo gadgets for the museum. I have a used grey Nintendo Gameboy Advanced SP and a used white Nintendo DS Lite that I no longer use. Also I have a lot of GBA, and DS game cartridges that I'm no longer using. Ross Hill (talk) 01:59, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hey Ross, thanks for the offer! I actually could use the grey Game Boy Advance SP and white DS Lite, so I would gladly take them. Color variants are something that I really want to document, but they come last in terms of my buying priority because of how many original consoles I need. I could also use any extra games for turning into dummy carts, so I'd be happy to take them, too. Anything that you send will be credited to you on the photo infopage, and I'll also be sure to get you some backer rewards as well.
- Thanks Ross! Evan-Amos (talk) 06:32, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll see when I can get to sending it down. On another note, I happened to see your work on a youtube channel I'm subscribed to! http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=5+Awesome+NES+Facts%21+--+Fact+Surgery&oq=5+Awesome+NES+Facts%21+--+Fact+Surgery&gs_l=youtube.3...895.895.0.1253.1.1.0.0.0.0.63.63.1.1.0...0.0...1ac.2.11.youtube.ZGpfRJcdS6M Regards Ross Hill (talk) 23:15, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks Ross! Evan-Amos (talk) 06:32, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
You are in Brooklyn? Have you ever said hello?
[edit]I just found out about your Kickstarter now that it is over. Have you ever said hello to anyone at the Wikipedia Meetup in NYC? I did not even know you were here. Would you come to one of our meetups sometime and chat with us? Could I meet you individually? This is great! I am so happy for you! I wish that I would have known about your Kickstarter - I would have shared it with other Wikipedia people.
Congratulations on getting the recognition that you deserve for your good work and for making so many people happy. I wish you success in whatever you attempt for the future. Thank you for doing what you do - I hope that you start a trend in the way you photograph. Blue Rasberry (talk) 16:23, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Lane, it's great to meet you and thanks for all the kind words! I actually have not been to a Wikipedia meet-up before. I've pretty much kept to myself since I started uploading to Wikimedia, but I think that will be changing because of the Kickstarter. I want to make an effort to be on social media and reach out with other members of the community. I'll email you back with more info. Evan-Amos (talk) 18:23, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
DualShock 4 image
[edit]Hello Evan-Amos, I am sorry if this has been brought up before. But I was wondering if you had gotten your hands on the DualShock 4, and whether or not you'd be interested in producing the same pose and image as you have done for the original DualShock, the DualShock 2 and DualShock 3. I would like to request this only if it is possible on your end. Thank you for reading this message. --Phailin1 (talk) 05:28, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
- I'll be getting a PS4, so it's just a matter of time. I don't have a preorder, so we'll have to see how difficult they are to get before Christmas. I will be taking a picture of the DS4 though, in the same style as the other DualShocks. Evan-Amos (talk) 07:10, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
- I see, I've actually got one here on my desk. I wish I could lend it to you, haha. Thank you for the response, I'm relieved to know you were planning on it. Cheers. --Phailin1 (talk) 05:40, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
Xbox Images
[edit]Dear Evan-Amos, Thank you for creating a PlayStation 4 image. If possible, could you please upload four new photos: 1. Xbox One - If you could upload a transparent photo of the Xbox One console, controller and Kinect, specifically for the Xbox One page, that would be great. 2. Xbox One Controller - Very much like your DualShock 4 controller image. 3. Xbox One Kinect - Just the Kinect on its own, please. 4. If you could add the new Xbox 360 E to your current Xbox 360 photo (the one that is on the Xbox 360 page), that would be great too. Thank you, --86.45.35.159 15:49, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
Sega Genesis
[edit]Greetings, Evan-Amos. I just thought you'd want to know, the Sega Genesis article on the English Wikipedia is currently nominated for Featured Article status. The article includes several of your high-quality photographs of many varieties of the Genesis (Mega Drive) and its various add-ons and controllers. It also includes photos by others: File:Pioneer LaserActive CLD-A100.jpg, a decent photo of the Pioneer LaserActive, and w:en:File:MegaPC Front.jpg, an adequate photo of an Amstrad Mega PC. Do you have either of these pieces of equipment? Are either on your wishlist of items to acquire? All the best, – Quadell (talk) 18:27, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
Categorisation in parent and child categories
[edit]Hi there,
Thank you for your excellent-quality image of a Nintendo 3DS (File:Nintendo-3DS-AquaOpen.png), along with your many other uploads!
I thought it would be useful to point out that if an image belongs to two categories, one of which is a child (or descendant) of the other, then it should *only* go in the more specific child category. For example, Category:Nintendo 3DS is a child of Category:Handheld game consoles, so anything in the 3DS category doesn't need to (and shouldn't) be in the more general parent category as well.
If this is unclear, Commons:Categories#Over-categorization probably explains things better(!)
(I know you uploaded this image three years ago, so if you're aware of this now, please disregard this comment!)
All the best, Ubcule (talk) 19:57, 16 February 2014 (UTC)
WikiConference USA

I was wondering if you're attending WikiConference USA next weekend in Manhattan? If so I'd love to take the opportunity to touch base with you about Multimedia development and get your thoughts for the future. Hello, as you might have already noticed, I have undeleted the file. It was pretty much obvious that this high quality file isn't a copy of all those low quality files spread around the net. I have also closed your deletion requests for your pages in user name space. Next time just request a speedy deletion by using {{Speedydelete}}. -- Best regards, 32X (talk) 07:21, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
License
[edit]Hey Evan, I read your complain about non attribution [1], but you use cc-0 (public domain), the license permits that. Why don't you use, for future contributions, the cc-by-sa-4.0? You cannot change the "past licenses", but this cc-by allows you to ask the attribution in "any way" that you want, you can ask for people in Wikipedia when uses your photo put your name in the caption, linking to your page here i.e., (they maybe will do that for courtesy with you asks now).
And do you mind with I organize your photos in one category with your name? This facilitates a lot, and improve the visualization of your work.
Thank you very much for your contribution, and if you have any questions about licenses, I can help. Rodrigo Tetsuo Argenton (talk) 07:40, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
SNES-CD
[edit]Hi. You've probably heard about a guy who found a copy of SNES-CD. Is there a chance you will be able to take a photo of this console? It would be great, because of its rarity Tashi (talk) 10:41, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- He did tweet about it: The PlayStation prototype being found is like christmas to me. God, I wonder if I could get the chance to photograph it. —Dispenser (talk) 04:47, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
- I would like to take a photo of it, but I likely won't have the chance. The dude who has it will likely sell it and then it won't be seen again.Evan-Amos (talk) 13:12, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
- I'd love you to photograph prototypes and devkits. Have you tried contacting the journalists to put him into contact with you? Hard to imagine someone turning down a free "professional" photo shoot, especially if it'll be featured in Wikipedia articles. Dispenser (talk) 04:09, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
Big Mac
[edit]Your photo of a Big Mac has resulted in a common on Wikipedia's talk page - the commentator points out that yours looks non-standard (e.g. the cheese slice is on top of the bottom burger, not underneath it). It seems picky but it intrigued me as well. Is it a Big Mac? It looks more like a Burger King Big King. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 18:02, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
- No, it's a Big Mac, and I explained it more on the page. I did make a mistake with the cheese when I took the photo, though. Evan-Amos (talk) 18:51, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
Big Mac photo
[edit]The Big Mac is assembled incorrectly. The cheese should be under the meat. There should only be two pickles, and they should be under the meat. The photo does not accurately represent a McDonald's Big Mac. Please replace with accurate image

Tagging uploaded images with correct permissions
[edit]Consider adding Template:Trademarked and a possible public domain template in Template:Information permission field, where necessary. See COM:LAYOUT. I tagged few of your console controller images as examples, e.g. File:NES-Controller-Flat.jpg. 80.221.159.67 15:43, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
- Unrelated to this topic, but please also add Template:Archival version and Template:Compressed version respectively if you can. Thanks. 80.221.159.67 17:49, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
Assuming you took the picture of the latest revision yourself, you may want to tag the right copyright and author information on the file. It doesn't look like to be a derivative work of the original one. 80.221.159.67 15:58, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
- Nevermind me, it is a derivative work. Nicely cleaned up! 80.221.159.67 16:03, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
CX40 image
[edit]Your image of the CX40 Atari joystick found here has no orange color on the top like this one. Do you know if it simply rubbed off, like this one is doing, or it never had it in the first place? Maury Markowitz (talk) 16:13, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- There are multiple versions of the same joystick, some have the orange and some don't. The Sega Genesis also has a lot of minor variations between its controllers. Evan-Amos (talk) 18:35, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
Quality Images
[edit]Hey, how do you create such high quality images?
For instance: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Xbox-360-E-HardDrive-Bay.jpg
This looks like an official stock image. Clear image on a perfectly white background. It's perfect. How is it possible?
I'd like to be able to do the same, so I can contribute quality images of a similar standard.

- I have certain hardware oddities in mind for photos, like the Data Discman, it's just a matter of cost, availability and time to do it. But I do like the idea of chronically these milestones of technology. Evan-Amos (talk) 16:17, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
- For completeness, I should mention the grand daddy Domesday Project. LV-ROM (LaserDisc) allowed up to 324 MB of data per side (stored in the audio channel) + 54,000 video frames. [edit]Your pictures are truly amazing! Thanks! I used lots of them in my articles (German Wikipedia) about Atari 8 bit computers. Do you consider to shoot some more for Atari XL computers? I would like to see a "striptease" of 600XL and 800XL down to the mainboard as well similar to Atari 800. Also backside views of SIO-daisychained Atari devices (XL Computer with 1050 and/or printer/tape drive/whatever) would be cool. Detailed controller teardowns?
[edit]Hi there Evan, I’ve been following your work for quite some time and I have to say you’ve done a tremendous job at archiving these consoles in detailed photoshoots for everyone to see, it’s gorgeous to look at them with their guts out as well, to see what’s inside these machines.
But something I found to be missing in most of your albums, even those marked with green to say it’s complete, is a teardown of the controllers.
The Casio PV-1000 and Amstrad GX4000 have them witch is really cool, but the rest seem to stay closed.
I wonder what the criteria are for what controllers get a full teardown. Or will they all get one in the future? Talkkaris (talk) 09:42, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
- There's many reasons for me, but it's been random and it's hard to say what will and won't get controller teardown pics. Many controllers feature extremely similar construction and don't have important information inside like what's contained on motherboards. Evan-Amos (talk) 16:11, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

Help with translations?
[edit]Hi, I started translating a few image descriptions to my native language (Portuguese) since not everyone that discovers these photos knows English, but as I was starting on the Xbox, I only translated the first 4 picture descriptions (here is one of them), it seemed like a lot of text, and I'm not sure if this help is welcome.
Before I go much further, is it ok if I continue to translate them, or will you do this in another way? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Talkkaris (talk • contribs) 17:11, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

[edit]I have no idea how the timing works between the launch of new consoles and when you're able to get your hands on one, and then subsequently prepare photographs of it. I only ask as with the Xbox Series X/S and PS 5 consoles now basically out, we're looking to get pictures of them (COVID made E3 a wash for early shots of them this year). I'm only curious if you by any chance may have them soon, or if it makes sense to pursue other means for decent free photos from others until you're able to get these done. --Masem (talk) 07:22, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hard to say how things will work. I was not able to get an Xbox preorder and am hoping the PS5 doesn't fall through. I also don't have access to my photo setup right now due to the pandemic, so it could be a while before I'm able to get photos taken. Evan-Amos (talk) 13:26, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll start pinging a few groups that I'm in that I know are likely getting them for at least intermediate ones. --Masem (talk) 21:05, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

Method
[edit]Hi, I'm just curious how you take these great photos? I was thinking about photographing my SNES Classic and NES Classic but don't know how you get all the lighting to be so perfect. DemonDays64 (talk) 22:07, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

RAW images/higher quality images
[edit]Hi Mr. Amos, your images are amazing! I was curious, do you offer camera RAWs or otherwise uncompressed versions of your images? They look spectacular already, but I understand the images need compression for normal viewing. I like collecting high-resolution images of many things and it would be so cool if you have them and could upload copies somewhere.
Best regards. --173.20.216.139 08:19, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
Future image suggestions
[edit]Greetings Mr. Amos, I thought it would be really cool if you could happen to get ahold of a Roland MT-32 or Roland Sound Canvas and take photographs of them.
I know you lead a busy life, so I'm not expecting anything to come of this request, but if you happen to come across either of them I think it would be awesome to see pictures of them with your level of quality and detail. Some photographs of the internal PCBs as well would be a real treat! :-)
All the best. --173.20.216.139 12:11, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- I also just thought about devices like the Palm Treo, PalmPilot (there are different revisions of this), Apple Newton and Apple QuickTake. Again, just giving some additional suggestions. :-)
- Best regards. --173.20.216.139 12:29, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
Commons as a multilingual project
[edit]Please see Commons:Localization. Why would you remove instances of {{En}}? How does this make this project better? Also, please see Commons:Overwriting_existing_files#Substantial_crop_or_un-crop; removing some blank whitespace around an object in a photo is preferable. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 03:51, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
- Oh. I just left a message for Koavf before seeing this. Yes, {{En}} is good to keep in place, allowing for easy addition of other languages. No, it's not ok to edit war you're preferred version when the uploader undoes it. It's an easy solution, though: undo your edit warring and upload a separate version without whitespace under a different filename. — Rhododendrites talk | 00:51, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- The "after" example you link to actually looks like my before photo File:Miyasaka_Hakuryu_II_-_Tigress_with_Two_Cubs_-_Walters_71909.jpg. There is noticeable spacing around the entire object. I have not found anywhere where extreme cropping has been show to be listed as preferable or accepted practice. And deleting the {{En}} was unintended, as I thought I was only removing the addition of the "opaque" listing on the image, which is unnecessary. I shoot on glass, so the area around the image is white. I'm not against the {{En}} tag or users adding helpful metadata to my uploads.Evan-Amos (talk) 05:34, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- If you would like, I can add a template like Template:NoUpdate to files you would like to remain as is? Mbrickn (talk) 02:21, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
Xbox One
[edit]Hey I’ve noticed that you’ve uploaded some images for the Xbox systems. Could you upload one for the Xbox One X to make the info box complete?? Since the other two images are your work I wanted to ask you. 2601:84:847E:AB70:8C01:1D98:B1AA:1B84 14:39, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Evan-Amos I agree. There should be a consistent image depicting the Xbox One X model to follow the original and S models. Makes the article much more complete and accurate. Banan14kab (talk) 17:52, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

Question
[edit]Hi, thanks for sharing your photos! I was wondering what the copyright rationale was for this picture? I'm a newbie to copyright and wanted to understand the legal rationale to see if I could apply it when sharing my own future photos. 104.232.119.107 04:15, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
Donkey Kong Land cartridge
[edit]Hello,
First of all, I want to thank you for all the pictures you've provided. And I beg you to excuse my mistakes, english is not my native language.
I wanted to know if you had the cartridge of one of the games of the Donkey Kong Land trilogy, GameBoy, (example) because it is yellow and I think it could be interresting to have a public domain picture of this peculiar characteristic.
Thank you for your time. Loxyger (talk) 15:08, 8 March 2025 (UTC)

File renaming request
[edit]Hello,
I have noticed that File:Atari-2600-Heavy-Sixer-FL.png is actually of a Light Sixer (as indicated when you renamed a similar file, File:Atari-2600-Light-Sixer-FL.jpg, from "Heavy" to "Light"). I have already updated the PNG file to reflect that it shows a Light Sixer (with angled edges) as opposed to a Heavy Sixer (with round edges). So, can you please move the PNG file to File:Atari-2600-Light-Sixer-FL.png? Thanks so much! 158.106.52.10 13:58, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
- By the way, I think you should also add the following code at the end of User:Evan-Amos/D200:
<includeonly>[[Category:Taken with Nikon D200]]</includeonly><noinclude> [[Category:Templates for specific users]] </noinclude>- as you did with User:Evan-Amos/A700. 158.106.52.10 14:41, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
[edit]These consoles have been out for nearly 5 years now and should be easily available for purchase. Any chance you could please take photos of them? Those two pages need the "Amos touch". Also the Switch 2 is out so maybe that too please? Noctawny (talk) 01:26, 25 June 2025 (UTC)

Updating your user page to support dark mode
[edit]Hi Evan, thanks for all your amazing photos! With MediaWiki's recent addition of dark mode, I noticed that your user page had some issues with unreadable text when viewed in dark mode. I hope you don't mind, but I took the step of fixing these issues in this edit. I fixed them by replacing the hard-coded color values you'd been using with MediaWiki's global color variables (these are technically not the exact same color codes that you had been using, but they are very close and the difference is virtually unnoticeable).
If you don't like the change, feel free to revert it, and apologies for the trouble. If you do like the change, please let me know and I'd be happy to apply it to your other pages as well (I figured for changing one page, better to ask forgiveness than permission, but if I'm changing a lot of pages I better get permission first). And if you have any questions or you'd like me to make any adjustments to what I've done, let me know and I'll do my best to help.
Best, IagoQnsi (talk) 19:35, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- thanks for the for the offer to help and for asking, Iago. my page has gotten more and more broken over the years with format changes, so it would probably need a big overhaul at some point (which i haven't had the energy to do), but if you have a quick fix to help with dark mode, sure, I don't mind you updating any pages. thanks again. "Toshibo" files
[edit]I happened across some uploads of yours earlier this year like File:Toshibo-Nuon-SD-2300-DVD-Player-Front-2.jpg - since the description says they are "Toshiba" which also matches what's in the image, should they be renamed away from "Toshibo"? Chris857 (talk) 03:04, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
