Tom White (b. 1956) is a former member of the Nebraska Unicameral, representing District 8 from 2007 to 2011. He also served as an Executive Board Member until 2011.

Biography

White earned his B.A. in history and philosophy from Regis University in 1979 and his J.D. from Creighton School of Law in 1983. His professional experience includes working as a truck driver, painter, construction worker, and as a partner attorney of White, Wulff and Jorgensen.[1]

White voted in favor in Nebraska Legislative Bill 39, to restrict initiative rights in Nebraska.[2]

On November 7, 2006, White won election to the 8th District Seat in the Nebraska Senate, defeating Marc Kraft.[4]

White and his wife, Barbara, have two children. White was involved with a number of organizations, including 4-H, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Field Club of Omaha Board of Directors, Nebraska Horse Council and the Saint Cecilia's Cathedral Parish.[1]
