The app keeps downloading podcasts for offline play although I have disabled automatic downloads. It is frustratingI've deleted the app and redownload. See if this problem goes away.

While basic compared to other podcast apps, Apple’s own Podcast app is functional and works fine if you want to subscribe to and listen to podcasts. A recent update also added a recommendation section where podcasts that your friends have messaged you links to will appear in the front page under “Shared with you.” For my podcast listening needs it’s just fine.

I use this app all the time for my podcasts while driving but would love it if Apple added the “Downloaded” podcasts to the menu in CarPlay as I prefer not to stream and to have a local copy to play from while driving. Finding them is tough especially for those with >100 episodes to scroll through

The overlay collection of podcasts are quite satisfying. It has been quite a time i did not visit this podcasts until recently. When I recently listened to some of the podcasts and all the media sounds speeded up lika a chipmunk! Could you look into the matter and fix this?
