Dynamo Levitates on top of The Shard

Magician Dynamo has broken his silence tonight with a mysterious tweet following criticism of his latest 'levitation' stunt above The Shard.

Fans took to Twitter slamming the stunt saying that wires could be seen holding him in place as he 'floated' above Europe's tallest building.

Tonight, the magician wrote on his Twitter account: "Loving the speculation about yesterday's Shard levitation - although things aren't always as they seem. All will be revealed."

He then added a hashtag with the word 'wires' and September 4 - the date when his new TV show starts.

Yesterday afternoon Dynamo - real name Steven Frayne - wowed huge crowds with the stunt.

But Twitter users slammed Frayne for the trick, bizarrely claiming he's 'cheating'.

Frayne had initially posted a picture on his Twitter account of grey skies saying 'the view is great from up here' and invited people to 'look up'.

The crowds soon gathered at the building near London Bridge, as people took their own snaps of the stunt.

The magician's picture was taken at the top of the 87-storey skyscraper that was opened to the public in February last year. At 1,004ft it is the tallest building in the European Union.

The 31-year-old magic man's stunt was filmed for the new series of his popular TV show Dynamo: Magician Impossible.

In a statement yesterday Frayne explained why he was there. He said: "I've been working with Variety, the children's charity, and I invited some of the children they support to meet me at The View from The Shard as it is one of the best places to see London. After I finished meeting them, I decided to explore a bit further."

Frayne emerged as a star after Magician Impossible became a huge hit, with the series reaching over 30 million viewers in the UK to date and over 250 million viewers worldwide.

The new series, which Frayne says will be the last, starts on Watch on September 4.
